Video popped up from Lester’s custom truck shop and the tune up and addition of the Ranger SP-1 speech processor into the McKinley. Personally I’m not sure if it makes it sound better but of course listening via internet to camera footage is quite different to hearing it at first hand.

The unit was designed I believe by the Clear Channel Corporation back in the day and was used in the exceptionally good AR-3300 and AR-3500 series of radios.

Interesting video and I agree with running a KL-203 behind the radio that’s the way I did it when I tried mine some weeks back. Lester’s right about the quality of the SSB Receive. It’s the best on the market today in the price range. Will it ever come to EU? That’s another story for I guess another day.
