So the idea was to be out and about for the Delta Romeo DX Net and hang around for Sid’s Sunday Net if the conditions would have been favorable. As it happens the car was parked at 420m and after some debate the antenna weapon of choice would be the Stryker SR-A10 on an ML-145 UP base.
The radio set up was Again the Optima IIB and CR-577 from RF Limited.
First voice was Mike #077 on the Isle of Wight and although QSB it seemed that conditions would be alright as Kevin CI674 was worked from his mobile in Dorking Surrey on a Sirio 3000 mobile antenna.
All contacts made to above countries while everything UK way was silent, just CT311 from uk heard otherwise nothing. Excellent fun! Next time lessons learned and set-up will change and develop.
