I’m sure in our great hobby very few people have not heard Victor 233MU106 calling from Romania. His almost always big signal and very specific beep beep at the end of his transmission. I’ve luckily picked him up the other day which is rare as he’s only around 830km away. Below is his antenna arrangement.

Victor is currently running a President Himalaya WB but what makes it interesting is the Black Pirate ground-plane Kit he’s added on the bottom! Victor tells me openly a Mantova Turbo 5/8 in his opinion is better for CB use but the frequency coverage on the Himalaya WB attracted him the most. It covers all the bands he needs and with his ATU it’s a lot of bands he’s using.

Would be an interesting thought if President released an optional kit…
