Eleven & PMR Field Day 2020

News today from an up and coming event for 11m users and PMR users a like. I’m delighted to advertise this as it’s an excellent idea. Search Facebook and look up the “free dx’ers” as all the information is here. How to take part, whose behind the event and all news. There is still time in these times of odd conditions so take a look.

It’s a multi-groups and multi-operators contest in the Field.
100% Independent (management via a newsgroup open to all registered leading groups), we also have a cloud to share and control activities.
It’s the same concept of the Eleven & PMR SOTA Tour Contest that work fine after ten years.
A nice common work with SD, AT, FDX, HAMRADIO families…
We enjoyed the first part of the event, with exciting results.
Some stats :
  • 73 registered stations
  • 34 active stations (that sent their logs)
  • 1525 unique hunters / followers (unic callsigns)
  • 3424 QSO made by activators
Nice, regarding the propagation level, the COVID-19 problems, the youth of the event..
We have to prepare the second part of the event now, and that takes place : 2020 September 19th & 20th.
We also have to prepare next year (with some interesting improvements (an online and open database, automatic diploma system, and other common ideas).
We hope there are really many more active stations from all radio groups !
