TH-9800 Frequency Unlock Help
Reset the radio according to page 47 of the owner’s manual.
Use English v2.0.8 TYT TH-9800 programming software from TYT site.
Don’t “Read” from the radio right away. …
Turn radio off and on again.
Re-connect to the programming software and “Read.”
Open the Frequency Range panel and check if the range is expanded.
That’s the information I found. It also states dealers can if they want unlock it for a fee.
