First Public Radio Test Anniversary

News from the OscarSierra DX Group from Poland 🇵🇱 They are embarking on a new special event to celebrate the 125 years since a radio test was made. There is a E-QSL option and of course check out there website which we’ve linked below. Have an event and want it added then use the contact form and let us all know about it.

Guglielmo Marconi, the son of an Italian merchant from Lombardy, began his experiments with the transmission and reception of radio waves in 1894. Working in amateur conditions – and partly secretly from his father – in September 1895 he obtained radio communication over a distance of 1 kilometer. Not seeing any interest in his invention in Italy, he left in February 1896 for England.
