It seems no time that news that Johan Papa X-Ray from Groningen Netherlands had passed away. Those of us from FM in 1981 onwards will remember him calling on U.K. 27/81 and the craziness it caused. I’ve some cassettes as he recorded most of his FM contacts. We spoke last on air I guess in 2010 from an I.O.T.A event. We stayed in touch afterwords but not an on air QSO. He passed away in 2016 and his funeral was December 21st 2016 so five years ago today. Anyone around in those times will remember his crystal clear audio and the words “Papa X-Ray Holland is by”
