Container prices for a 40ft from China to Europe via sea peaked at $14,000 earlier in 2022 and now the price has dropped to around $6,000 to $7,000 excluding taxes according to Xieneta which is the Ocean and Air benchmarking platform. BUT will have little chance of dropping lower in the forthcoming period. Freight on ships still continue to back-up and delays due to some strikes in certain market areas.
