  1. Hello.

This video makes me think of the situation that occurs towards my home in the South of France.

We had a return effect of some former OM’s on radio during the covid restrictions with good QSO’s locally until 3 am and for 1 year some we do not hear them anymore and others passed in QRT and sold their radio equipment.

In the current state on my department, we are about 10 OM’s to cross the antenna regularly in SSB on 27.555, by cons local activity on 27.275 FM there is almost nobody.

I fear that the radio activity will disappear globally in a very short time especially on 11 meters and at HAM’s there are some new licensees but the situation is far from good.

I tend to think that people prefer to be on the internet and computers with social networks and turn away from radio.

Yet if one day a disaster of magnitude occurs and God protects us from it, I think that a radio with a car battery will be more useful than a smartphone without internet and without satellites.

    Good weekend to all.
