News now confirmed from multiple sources so we can discuss it now. The Albrecht AE2990AFS and AE5890EU are fast approaching end of life and won’t be available in the future. They will of course both will be replaced and it’s known by some of us what with. There will be a new hand held, maybe two! This has been on the cards since 2023 and the AE5890EU although not such hot new news but seems this is more sometime a replacement comes.
Actually owned four or five of these and all were not great. One was left in a dustbin on an island after being trodden on!!
Get a good one and it’s super good and get a poor one and sure it’ll be poor. The next version sure will be better, also can be from a new manufacturer and with that new ideas, design and dreams to chase.

Hopefully we will have also an new design SSB hand-held, I am waiting for this since long time, personally I believe that the AE-201S was slightly better. Please share with us as soon as you have some sneak peak of this new radio.

New radio will come “maybe” named AE3000 from a new factory but it’s a matter of time, wait and see 😟

What is the difference between that and the old Cherokee AH-100 ht? That one didn’t last to long. I had one and it seemed to work ok.
