  1. Good afternoon, everyone.

After reflection, there is a detail that bothers me and that makes me think that the CRT SS-7900V is the most accomplished of all in this field.

I think the clarification for the SSB it tells us when it is 000 with three digits and when have is at +500Hertz or -500Hertz.

I say this because even if it is in steps of 10 Hertz to clarify, I find that it is the radio that tells us most precisely how much we shift in Rx especially and that it allows to give a fairly precise information when an OM is shifted in frequency TX.

Even if this 9900V certainly indicates the offset in RX or TX since it has the hundred and ten hertz on the display, for me it lacks the 3rd digit of the unit of hertz when we put for example +150 Hertz, it appears for example on this 9900V, 27.520.15Mhz instead of clearly indicating +150 Hertz as on the 7900V clearly without changing the display frequency on which the radio operates at a given time.

Not to mention President George 2 and the new Washington who apparently show no frequency of Clarify and it is only played listening to catch up with a station with which we are in QSO at the time.

Despite these innovations, we should not go astray on the way with nonsense.

  2. Hi everyone.

I find that since 2022, the CB has experienced a profound and salutary technical renewal.

I found all these old TX boring with their old design and full of defects that sometimes even with changes in settings or components they could not improve.

I do not understand why Ranger with the RCI and Galaxy, do not make this technological leap with the problems of frequency drift and sometimes overheating of the power stages that they still have today.

The CRT SS6900V, 7900V and soon the 9900V with 80 watts then the PRESIDENT George 2 and soon the new Washington with 80 watts too, we are in a superb period of evolution and without forgetting the STRYKER SR-955HPC V2.

What I defend with regard to these devices is that they have rid us of thermal frequency drifts in SSB and reception problems because of AGC loops that were too fast in SSB and that produced audio distortion, it is a thing of the past.

I find very interesting this function TX SSB bandwith 3 or 4 Khz.

The prices seem reasonable to me in view of the current context of inflation and it will always be better than a RCI 2950 to 450 Euros with lots of design flaws.

    Have a nice day.
