Sunday 25th, Apologies to those looking forward to the net last Sunday, illness took its toll and I was laid up until Monday.
Sunday 18th, Now this was a wonderful day of radio, next to no skip….But we more than made up for some great distant QSO’s Gary 26CT5054 on the Isle Of Wight showed great patience and perseverance allowed many the chance to hold decent QSO’s with him….. For ideas of distance we had Andy 26DR2080 calling from Delph, Keith 26DR946 calling from Anglezark Topside of Bolton, distances between them both and Gary on the Isle of Wight 215 miles thereabouts… Then Andy and Keith also gave shouts to Ian 26DR111 also Tony 26DR034/p, Ian and Tony both in the Southwest, average distance was 180 miles …185 to Ian and 175 to Tony…. Amazing contacts with a little patience and a great deal of skill shown by each and everyone…
Thanks need to go out to Stuart 26DR020, for shouting for the net and also to Mick 26PD077, for sharing info from stations I just couldn’t hear due to the little sprites of noise stopped me recieving the callers info.
A mention to TIMO 56TR277 showing great determination a making that contact from over the waters when no-one else could.
