After what appeared to the naked eye as a game of catch-up Helmut Frequenzwaschl sent me news that the Midland 8001 Pro is now open for pre order with a mid December timeline for deliveries. So maybe on air by Christmas unless any flaws are found in the meantime I suppose. We’ve got the link and it’s below

This radio has broken the internet at the moment as it’s small size is something interesting for many! The new Albrecht which is also scheduled to be December will be also interesting as I can reveal it’s also going to be a small radio. It’s maybe RJ45 not six pin but it’ll be small too.
