Another good USA day today. Jopix HAM10 was the weapon of choice and for all the follies of it I think we’ve come to an understanding on how to use it. Adjusted on the menu all the microphone gains so the A,F,U and L adjusted from 15 to 12 and seems to make a difference. Stations in Lapland and Cornwall England reported it was loud and super clear! So that’s a winner. Made a contact to a friend of mine Jimmy 2WR813 Georgia and he also commented how clear and strong was the audio. Antenna weapon of choice was the DX Power Dual Fed which is 5.6m vertical and at the bottom 2x 3.0m telescopic horizontal elements so you are running Dual Fed of both vertical and horizontal at the same time! So over 5000 miles or 8000km worked on the radio and antenna.
Also heard the Leprechaun out of Southern Ireland working Excalibur from the Carolina’s on AM channel 28 like they were locals to me.
AM was buzzing with the Leprechaun around 2500km and Excalibur approaching the 6000km.

Antenna when folded down above. The telescopic 5.6m heads into the top and can be expanded and the ones on the side pull out also. It sits on a camera tripod and that’s how we roll now mostly portable when time, energy and conditions allow.
