When does a scanner become a transmitter? When it’s the PNI HAM 27
So the radio which looks very much like the Quansheng TK-11 comes sold as a receiver which many have been upset about. But there is a way to make the receiver a transmitter!
With the radio off:
Press TOP PTT and V/M and turn on
Display shows PNI a few seconds and then announces lock off
Now it’s a transmitter for CB and all the ham stuff it can operate on. To reverse the process simply do the same procedure and the radio states loudly lock on!
So super bloody cool and now have a transmitter as well as a receiver that’s the best news and can program the radio now with some cool channels and also features to see what we can hear.

Hi, Sadly as this radio same in principle then it’s only FM. You can get DSB on modified firmware Quansheng UV-K5 using F4HWN firmware and modified radio from Poland
