Let’s get this in the open for those who asked me. Actually it was mostly HAM radio operators that asked me and so above is the video for their knowledge. The radio has HAM and also HF mode. BUT you loose the warranty, it’s a tricky job, it’s a job not worth it really unless you truly need it. Best ask the dealers for help and that is the reality. After I found it I’ve returned it to multi-norm status as the chase has been run, it’s been found out and those who have emailed me about it have been told that the radio has it on the inside.
The best part is VFO mode. And how do I know where to look it’s a fact am old, know what tricks are used and in this case was lucky. It took me almost 1 hour to figure out how to change the bands for example. So even knowing possibly where and how it was still hard believe me.
SO
Do not loose the warranty
Mine is back in EU multi norm as from the box
No UK40 in export mode that I could see only A-J but there is UK in extended multi-norm with higher power availability
Never transmitted in export mode or ham mode
All who’ve asked me about HAM mode are email replied too.
So summertime sat in the car with a Radler you’ve got a small radio that’s full of goodies and full of all you will need to make repeaters on FM, SSB contacts on 12-10 metres and most of all the small format radio you’ve asked endlessly for years and years now
I’ve deleted the video links as I spent a bloody long time trying to sort a couple of issues here with a few functions. A dealer told me Albrecht won’t fix it as not in multi norm. So we see what happens, as it happens I did write to Albrecht about it and they didn’t reply..
What I reported were trivial around clarifier RX+TX and memory channels. In effect they don’t stop you using the radio in multinorm and in this setting as well as ham and HF the transmitted audio quality is simply excellent.
