*PHOTO* Anytone AT-5000 Programming Software Screen Shot / Explanation

First of all thanks to Axel who sent me a link the other day and also thanks to Helmut Frequenzwaschl whose sent me a photo of it today

So I’ve asked around before writing this and can say the following. Based on extensive Teams conversations with the factory and others in the loop of this radio.

  • Possibly the software came from Amazon and was sent to those who purchased or blagged a radio
  • The software at the moment isn’t complete. As you see it has Bluetooth in the software and none of the radios out there have this fitted only the first ever test pieces
  • Cables for programming and or firmware updates are not so freely available at the moment. I’ve one received today from Hong Kong but at the moment nothing to use it on.
  • Albrecht this I cannot comment as you need to ask them. First things first sort some firmware oddities and add some new features and swap some around. Maybe it comes and maybe it doesn’t? I’d say release a full fat HAM version and then look into the software
  • The AT 5000 although the original let’s say concept of the 5900 has some quirkiness the other doesn’t have. Now Chinese New Year is over I’d say sit safe and tight and in the fullness of time we will all know what’s going to happen.
