We’ve been asked about the small Albrecht AE5900 and microphone adapter which are now for sale and Made In Germany.

So I’ve tested the six pin adapter and it’s superb. Understand the up and down doesn’t work but so far have tested the adapter on the following microphones:

President Digi Mike = Radio Menu setting DYNAMiC

Motorola Bomber Mike = Radio Menu Setting DYNA

President standard electret Mike = Menu ELEC

K-PO NM532 = Radio setting DYNA

Astatic D104 Minuteman = DYNA

Astatic 575M6 Teardrop (Worked Both Settings excellent)

Pan International K40 + K40 Mike = DYNA

President Bluetooth Microphone Doesn’t Work

Yes the microphones work on DYNA or ELEC but for me I found the best settings at the moment appear to be the DYNA setting. And the bandwidth setting to 4K on SSB which resulted in superb quality I was told by operators at the other end.

These microphone adapters I believe are manufactured by Pits Funkladen / Maas and are a top quality addition to the radio. With the standard microphone and multi function the quality is excellent and with these it’s raised the level another notch.
