Above we have a statement from Albrecht Germany about firmware updates on the AE5900 Mini SSB Radio. The letter is written in German so you’ll need to use translate those who do not understand.

Basically it’s telling users to get the radios updated at an authorised dealer who can do it. Mine were updated by Markus Neuner for example and we will have some article about it in the coming days. In the meantime the next delivery is expected I’m told mid May and guess it’s sold out.

Today I’ve been asked if Albrecht have deleted the export mode jumper and or high power jumper from the new production radios. Sadly I’m in no position to comment as know nothing about Albrecht and what they’ve done or not done. I can say about Anytone but sadly Albrecht kindly ask the dealer or the company themselves.

If they are deleting jumpers then it must be due to another radio coming maybe a HAM version. For this also no news, only news was it’s under consideration and nothing since then, no news, no communication. Promised news never came so you all know as much as me..
