Albrecht AE-5900 Standard Mike Audio Modification

I’ve been asked by three people to comment about whether I’ve modified my audio on the Albrecht. Well not as much as you’d imagine. When you unscrew the microphone there is a lot of free space inside it which can make a sort of hollow sort of sound. In these areas I’ve padded it out to make the empty space less. Fitted foam like the sort you find on PC headset microphones etc.

Above is the board inside the microphone and on the electret you see a rubbery cover. I’ve taken mine away and where it’s sitting on the microphone housing I’ve added some foam to stop the sort of spit puff puff sound from going into the microphone.

Mike 1 and setting electret not dynamic

Mike 2 Off

On the Anytone / Radioddity they have Mike 1 the supplied Mike

Mike II This is for the supplied microphone adapter (Radioddity)

Mike III This is the multi-function microphone

That’s what have done on my radios here
