*NEWS* The Missing Radioddity’s

Ever increasingly now missing Radioddity CB-5000 comes to my attention. Mine arrived in Budapest and was told handed to “local carrier” only that the local carrier DPD isn’t anywhere near where the radio was located. DPD told they’ve got two different tracking numbers and “not to expect any delivery” Radio was legally imported, taxes and duties paid and cleared customs

And now over the weekend I’ve heard that more pieces this time in Germany have vanished and almost the same story. This time it says online DPD hand delivered them to the customer which is nice but nothing at all appeared, not delivered at all.

Radioddity aren’t helpful at all! They try confuse the situation and state we are working hard to make the delivery etc etc. Having checked the courier who had the radio they have an email address but it seems it is in China (and never respond) They have a courier business here with no email address, no telephone number and their business address looks like a run down cow shed which they share with other importers of goods from China!

Influencers got free radios quickly, seems maybe someone sent the bouncers around and threatened Radioddity and now somehow now radios are vanishing. This radio isn’t available for European sale so if it came to Europe we all know who’ll be annoyed and assed off!!!

Moral of story do not import even when legal duties and taxes paid and make sure it’s PayPal all the way and in that you’ll receive or should receive a refund of the money

** Update! Heard from someone in Rome with an almost identical story. Radio arrived via Yun Express and has since absolutely totally vanished after customs clearance and apparently being taken to the local courier for delivery. So that’s three people, three countries and almost the same story.

What’s the chances??

When ordered WAS Available EU. False advertising? NO! It was ordered legally on website and customs duties and taxes paid

**UPDATE II Had an email from Nantes France. Someone ordered also as it shows shipped to Europe and box never appeared was customs cleared and handed to local courier and now 3 weeks totally nothing at all. Radioddity say we are looking into it, asking the courier blah blah same story it would appear but new country now added

  1. Simon, please do dedicate all your amazing energy to CEPT to improve the rules for all of us; that would benefit us all. Thank you!

    • I do via the excellent ECBF. Remember you do not know me, you do not know what infact I do in the background and you do not know but some EU CB radios you use have ideas inside that came from my mind over the years.

  2. Well, Simon, so consequently please finally stop complaining about customs, or shipping problems. You would not complain, if you drove too fast and got fined, wourld you? That’s all!

    • Tell this to the Germans who’ve wrote to me. Tell the Italian and French person also. The blog is a window for people who’ve got same issues, and for those to think again before going down the same route. Some have multiple pieces lost I’ve only one piece. I remember you who wrote many things then denied them till I sent you the proof.
      Greetings to Dornburn

    • Identical? Different firmware, PC Programmable which Albrecht is but they do not release the CPS. And Albrecht yes I have the first release one, the release one with newer firmware and have the V2 release also. And it’s absolutely “not dentical” and the CB-5000 sits in Dongguan not Vegas when ordered

    • Well, Albrecht is CEPT-comform Radioddity, and Anytone are not. Why for heavens sake should one want to mess around with non-conform devices? 😉

    • Aha now I know who you are. Both the radios you name are ROHS as same line and same radio as you believe. Radios advertised for EU. Anyways, stay calm you are safe and not harmed by this.. Why do people drive 32kph in a 30, why do people drive 130kph on a 120kph. It’s called life.

  3. I’m sorry that has happened to you. Are you not able to do a chargeback? Hopefully, you will receive it sooner than later. I sell small parts on eBay and I have had a couple people say they have never received their parts and I have had to resend them out of my pocket, thanks to the USPS. Luckily, the parts are only a few dollars, but it happens sometimes and it’s very annoying.

    • It’s with PayPal and one of the other people whose radio didn’t arrive is with the Police as something very odd happening. We’ve all our ideas what’s happened, mostly the same and with the same people involved. Luckily it’s easy to check up on things with internet and Radioddity customer service sadly are not so intelligent as they think they are. Me, if money is lost then so be it BUT do not want others to have the same experience. The common belief is the factory saw them landing inside Europe and after that ordering was blocked and radios started to go missing. Already had today an email from another country with the same story and he’s been told the same “it’s still on the way” and “please be patient” and in my case 12 days to go 15 kilometres and “still on the way”
