I’d literally forgot how small this radio was on the inside until I took out the screws Wednesday afternoon. We are revisiting this radio as it’s got quite a lot going for it and well worth the look again. The Jopix 900 PRO the radio with all the changeable signal meters is a great radio which I think is a little underrated as so many radios around at the moment
In expanded mode 2K & 4K FM deviation and also 24.7-30.1 frequency coverage so it’s pretty hardcore in the banding, echo, 6 roger bleeps and NRC too. But it’s the signal meters which you can change and for me the classic one is just about right. I’ve not heard many of these radios on the air which would appear odd.
It’s got the usual electret and dynamic microphone options in the menu also and nice click of the switches. Hear me on AM or FM the next few weeks it will be this one and hear me on SSB it’s going to be the Atlas but in all cases need some conditions. And yes it’s a “move the jumper” situation from 1-2 till 2-3 🫣

–Yes, their version of the “classic analog” style meter looks pretty close to an analog one, and it looks great, too. Maybe I am missing it, but I cannot figure out by looking at the front of the radio how to change bands. Maybe the channel knob can push IN or something, I’ve no a clue. One thing I find odd is all that extra space in the radio. I am just guessing, but maybe whoever the company is that actually makes the metal “frame” of the radio had a ton lying about? Maybe it is just cheaper to keep the longer frame, instead of having to make changes to whatever machine makes the frame? I have no idea.
–I do know that when I was choosing a 10/12 meter mobile radio, I had restrictions on the length of the radio, as I have a console that holds multiple radios that is affixed on the top of the transmission hump. I was trying to decide on the Anytone AT-6666PRO, and the President Washington. Well, the 6666 was too deep for the console at approximately 251mm, but the President Washington was about 173mm. At least in my case, since the President Washington was shorter, and would fit in the console, that is what “sealed the deal” on the purchase. I know that most people aren’t buying these radio consoles, so most people won’t have that issue, but I sure did. I just checked, and the length of this Jopix 900 Pro is 210mm…still too long, lol. Maybe these radio companies think that if the radio looks larger, we will think it will perform better, I have no clue. It’s not like this radio needs all that extra space to dissipate a lot of heat, especially since it’s a single final radio, maybe an IRFZ24N (and no external heat sink that I see) 73!
Your absolutely right press the channel button in twice and on the screen a letter comes which is the band C, D, L, A and others. And then in the radio menu is the deviation menu and also the -5kc option which you can activate
