So the Avanti Fortuna was here and now prepares to head east. Although here a short time the radio seemed to work well, add an external mike like the CR577 and kicked ass on AM. Cable was easy to make and the driven audio was superb.

When will it be released? I don’t know at all. Will it be AM / FM like this one or will it come as an FM only radio like the developer told me (Pity) Time will tell but am impatient and I say let the radio come as a true multi-EU radio and based on price it will be a real contender to the throne that the William from President has at the moment.

They are NOT available on the market at the moment and are being “developed” SO there is no timeframe, no idea of when and indeed no idea IF they will come to market in the real scheme of things.

As illusive as a President Anytone Qixiang Lincoln II at the moment and the news live and direct from the maker is that it is “not ready, being developed at the moment” But what I can tell you I am promised a loan piece for some time just as soon as it hits the FOB Streets in the Far East thanks to the same people who loaned me the Avanti Fortuna so watch this space. Maybe now they have the Lincoln II swept up from the part bins they can concentrate on the 6666 or Lincoln III as it could be (whistles and scuffs feet at same time) What else do we know about the 6666, well it should be din size and will make 21w with the option to make more I suppose as it is what the CE approval dictates. BUT WHAT IS MORE interesting there are none of the usual dealers waiting for this model at all. Sure some don’t tell the truth always but they seem sort of “whatever” when the radio is mentioned. Could this be a Grant II or George II in the making? Time will surely tell……
