There are a few lucky people who have both radios as we speak, and indeed some who have either one or the other and have been sending me messages with there opinions and here are some of them which I have received over the past few days.
Slightly Underwhelmed
I was surprised but the Lincoln II works better than my Grant II
Audio on Both is quiet
Audio on Both is loud and clear, sharp and strong
Lincoln II is better built than Grant II
It has an identical board to my DX5000 and my DX5000 is cheaper. ( Open your eyes your an idiot )
Grant II is better built than Lincoln II but the Lincoln II is a better radio
I work stations the Grant don’t hear
I’m not wasting that sort of money, you can get a Kenwood for £300 and works better than all that CB Shit
These are a few remarks that have come in from Germany, Holland, UK, Ireland, France and indeed Hungary
Having read the array of experts online and there opinions I decided not to air mine here. ANYONE who knows me will know I sure as hell have an opinion on both radios. But after this morning reading reviews from the UK, Germany, France I decided to sit quietly at the moment.
The grant 2 is a far better radio, SSB audio is clear unlike the lincoln 2. what the grant 2 could do with is a TS of 1 aswell as 0 and 5 then the lincoln 2 would be dead and remebered in anyclone history. bad move president putting the lincoln 2 to anyone other than uniden!

Nor me! The radio is SURE not like this at all….
Reading on several forums, lots of people have opinion about Gr2 and LI2 without ever seeing or working the radio!!
I am very happy with my LI2!
I did this with Lincoln 2 on MFJ-969 and SWR reading is spot on. Very nice!
meantime I tested the inbuilt SWR meter on Grant II and it`s 100% accurate with the external Daiwa CN 102L. the second row of numbers under the bar graph shows the SWR values.

I’m hoping the Lincoln 2 will grow on me with use but it’s certainly lacking the WOW factor at the moment. More testing to be done over the weekend me thinks!
