This may sound incredible so bear with me. I have been away in Bratislava and returned today. There were miss calls on the phone. I called and was greeted by incredible news.

4am this morning a Spanish man was spotted running around the roof. He smashed my bedroom window (French window to rooftop garden) with a massive metal cased flower pot. He then ran inside the house, smashed the router off the wall! Could not escape via my front door so hit the fire alarm button. All alarms rang out!

He wrapped an extension cable around his waist and a chimney and tried to abseil 100ft or more to the floor. Cable gave way and he fell into a glass roof.

Glass roof destroyed, he has a shard of glass in him (he ain’t well) and now 5 hour operation in hospital. Will he live or not! Unknown plus at least a broken leg also

Scene of crime now around so blog is suspended for time being while other accommodation till repairs are solved..

Update is was Spanish student for a stag weekend in Budapest. 4am decided go on the roof, destroy satellite dishes and could not leave so smashed door, trashed the place, kicked in Internet and fell in the end off roof.

5 hour operation, condition not known but not good at all as I understand..
