With the software there are choices for the channels. You can can program between 1 being the minimum channel all the way to 99 being the most available. CTCSS/DCS can be programmed as can be time out timer from off onwards. Voice prompt and thats needed to know where you are sat, which channel. And interestingly there must be more options for this radio as in the frequency panel there are multiple choices: 136-174, 200-260, 350-390 and 400-480Mhz or indeed custom.

It doesn’t work in Windows 10 at all so you need to revert back to Windows 7 for the programming to work fine and quickly with the PL-2303 driver.
