Nanfones Christmas Crackers

While many are asleep as end of year it appears that Nanfone are planning a multi level attack on the market. Thanks to Loic and Cho for the news. Uniden brought liberty to the radio user and seems now that Nanfone has expanded that, added features and will bring something new to the cordless and bluetooth radio market place

First off there is the NF-780 which is an ultra small hand held radio wit 400-470MHz coverage with CTCSS, PC Programming, internal antenna, IPX4 long standby and many other features. Expect to see this one OEM sometime in the very near future

And above is the Nanfone 328P which is a DIN sized AM/FM dual voltage 12/24v radio that can be manufactured with the multi EU norms and when unlocked comes with 25-30MHz and a higher power mode. The exciting part is the MC770 Bluetooth Mike which as well as volume can make mode change, channel change and also the volume and squelch, something that will take away liberty and give people more freedom. As it is bluetooth the distance is much reduced when you compare it to the DECT of Liberty but the added options are the key features. (This radio could be the base of the TruckerCom from Team too)

  1. Why 70cm only, it is dead in the UK, and I suspect for many parts of Europe as well. It is not well used in America also. 2m/70cm is in abundance for not much money. You can buy a Baofeng UV-3R dual band that is very small for about £20.

    • Here UHF is used more than VHF but of course not the same everywhere. Cost I don’t know, it’s not made at the moment so maybe comes dual band? Don’t know. Internal antenna also not best.
