Good news indeed today, my Lincoln II with the light issue has been under armed guard in President and returns back here soon with no faults, no issues found after long and hard testing in France. Great news indeed as that little radio made me some fine contacts from the car. So Christmas comes early here.

  
I’m told that with the front panel off (I didn’t attempt this) all the LED lights are strong, bright and working super fine indeed. And the “error” that I thought I saw with the colouring in a couple of the colours was infact not painted the same way (explanation below) as the other buttons and showed the effect of light not working when in fact it was ok.

All buttons are transparent on the Lincoln II and the SCAN is painted yellow. That’s why behaves not the same. And my mistake, sure it’s mine ! I checked the other Lincolns I have here and it was not the same at all. Ranging from an initial release one, a v2 and another v3 they didn’t have the same so thought the LED was bad. My wrong! It was not bad.

So that being said, Thank you so much to Mrs P. and to those who spent the time checking it i sure thought that the lights were not ok. That’s the best news this month so far, that the renegade returns.

Radio we live and learn, and a whole lot of that has happened recently. You’ll hear me from the mobile with this one after it makes its long and lonely trip back.

  
And the above v3 taken by Mr Markus Neuner in the daytime you see the light, where I used mine at night and it showed more resolution to be not working. Easy solved.

Next time need to wear stronger glasses and take more time I guess. Learn something everyday. What I do know my other v3 that was looked at long time ago when it returned the fairy dust was on it and it’s worked better than ever, outshines almost all radios in the car so when this one lands sure it’ll be the same. There is something special in the labs there for Lincoln II’s..
