Ladies & Gentlmen I’ll respond to the many messages here at one time so it is easier than later, and as it will be here on the blog it’s easy to google it and search it in the USA.  You’ve asked me whether I’ll have the radios here for tests and write, show them on YouTube.

  

 
The reality is that I think it’ll be hard to have them! I’m sure they will be ROHS but maybe are not carrying CE aapproval (I don’t know) and with the USA Uniden series yes they are possible to get inside the EU via http://www.truckerswereld.nl but they are not cheap, due to the importation duties and taxes. So with no direct contact with the USA company (remember they don’t like me since the noise gate issue) I’m not the first in line to get anything. Maybe am 100ft behind the last person.

Antennas: Unless they make different ones then I can help you there as have some of the range, not all and remember we don’t know what they will release now too! But hopefully here yes I’ll be able to help a little bit.

SSB Radios: Slim, Gary, Chuck, Peter, Marlon you all know more than me. I don’t know of an SSB radio being released so the news you have is sure unique at the moment. But I can say I don’t imagine an SSB/AM Grant II USA like you do as you’ve the 980SSB currently on the market in the USA. Plus why sell simple 40 channel radios USA version in EU when EU is multi-norm?
