Thanks to Genar who send me a link to this video, it is apparently either official or unofficial YouTube of President in Russia and it shows in video the noise level on a Grant II (version Unknown). I thought this subject was closed but overnight it’s again starting to rise on the email side. Guys, please email President. I’m out of it. I cannot help you at all.
There are a few nice videos there that show noise levels on the Grant and also Lincoln. Qixiang has a noisy receive, all and every single radio has s-meter and noise levels so it’s not new at all. What is new is a President “maybe related company” showing it online.
But the sound receive quality sounds great.
High meter level but sound is also good? Or you think not, tell me….

Side by side the grant 2 with the local/dx set to local receives the same if not better than the Albrecht AE 5890 EU.
Iv’e tried the two radio’s side by side and it does at my location. Would put a video on you tube but I have no recording gear.
Thanks for the news Gary. I’ve not an 5890 anymore nor San I use the Grant due to noise but I know some who read the blog have them and video ability so maybe we see some of there efforts soon?
Hi Simon. It would be good to see some video’s of the Grant 2 with the local switched on certainly seems better to me or maybe iv’e got them rose coloured glasses on again ! lol

I’m going to have a go I hope at the weekend time permitting. It’s a good idea, I’ve no 5890 here just an old 5800 so maybe try that too.
