Got an email about “Masterscan”TM an idea which Uniden uses on its UHF radios in the Australian and New Zealand market place. And being never one to sit quiet I think this radio with EU norms on board, Uniden made would be nice, plus add Masterscan into it too
The latest innovation added to the Uniden UHF range, Master Scan™ technology, is designed to ensure minimal disruptions for continuous communication. This premium feature also has Dynamic Switching, which lets users retain constant communication by changing over to unused channels. This network scan function searches for other radios that share the same CTCSS or DCS tone. When the radio detects a signal with no code or an incorrect code, it switches to an unused channel when transmitting. By scanning only group channels, radios in the network will be able to detect and receive group transmissions, offering continuous communication without interruption.
I’d add it in a heartbeat to CB radios with CTCSS and DCS (if it’s legal) what a great idea. Good to see Uniden jeep inventing and adding ideas.
But do Qixiang own Uniden now? Meaning can Uniden offer realistically a radio like this for 27mhz or would it be €200 plus where it’ll sit unsold?
