PNI Escort HP82 “Export Mode Limited Availability”

It’s true and was under discussion with the boss of PNI and now confirmed the HP82 will come with export features and other options soon. Although I can’t tell you a specific date I can say it’ll come with options for rU ending 5 and PX ending 0 (zero) The next large shipment appears maybe landing in December 2023 will have it although just got one from emag Hungary (not for me) and it has export enabled and appears from a limited shipment which arrived recently.

Other changes under the hood we must wait and see! But having export mode optional that’s a great improvement. Thanks to PNI for listening to the argument about adding it. Just needs repeat function added but maybe not this model, maybe cannot be done.

  1. Will it have the A channels like 3A etc.? In Germany the open license for baby phones ends and maybe those frequencies will be made available to the public (probably not…). Also they are necessary to address all 10m FM frequencies. Btw, Repeater support would be awesome, not only ±100kHz like with other radios. Also I wonder what the customer arguments for the extended range are apart from operation. In Russia, and there only a slice of the whole range is actually legal. Probably the main argument is to not loose the market against Thunderpole and Jopix 😉
