It seems the first shipment has landed as many people already receiving this radio. Most people are shocked to see it is software locked. Thanks to Ronald at http://www.truckerswereld.nl he has been in touch with the solution and the unlock is via cable and software.
So for Danny and others who asked above is where the unlock is located within the software. I am told the software works fine with Windows XP and not Good with Windows 7.

Tested with Windows 7 Home Premium and it unlocks fine. Sometimes error with communication but if you try it does work fine and radio works 136-174.980 & 400-520.993
Isn’t this the same process used to expand/unlock the Wouxun KG UV1P frequencies? I’ve made it like this….is there a key combination or some other process, because they way wrote about it, sound like it is a new method…
Yes there is a way to do this with the Wouxun, it allows greater coverage if I remember well? A key routine this radio I don’t know at all. I know was a little hard with windows 7 to unlock it and also now have issues in expanded mode program it via software so the battle is not yet over. What is. the radio is now unlocked and works wide banded. Thanks for the comment.
