I have been asked if I have or did I know where to get the unlock software for the newly released KGUV8D and as it happens I have the software. It works in a similar way to the KGUV950P mobile radio. The radio comes locked in some market areas and indeed when unlocked works from 134-174 and 400-519.995 MHz. Below is the link and remember to think about it before using and follow the instructions and only change the parameters in the software as shows.

Change the setting in 144m to read

134-174

And setting in 430m to read

400-519

Then you need send the information to the radio, like with the Intek 980 and KGUV950P and when the radio restarts hopefully it will be unlocked for you.
